As title, how is the adsense earning from forums? Are blogs better with adsense?

It all comes down to what country the traffic is coming from. The key is to get consistent traffic from as many sources as possible.

why people generally say that forums are not good with adsense and prefer to blogs. I like forums and want to start forums with education/programming niche.

I have no clue if a forum earns better or worse than a blog

But it all depends on Organic Traffic and type of ads

more than half of browsers use a defeat Ad blocking setting, before 2015 it was easier to earn money because not many had that default ad blocker in browsers like firefox
If you have repeat visitors they become ad blind to your ads and won't click

Its extremely difficult to earn money from adsense without high traffic organic traffic.

The best bet before was YouTube, because those default adblockers didnt block the video ads playing on the screen and the ads that pop up on a youtube video has the visitor tempted to click and focused on the screen to either click the ad or to try and remove it many times they cant click the small X on the screen and accidentally click the ad but now they made it even harder to earn money unless you ar ea big channel

But that just means those huge channels will be even richer

I ran a baby/pregnancy forum and the Adsense income was never very much compared to a similar blog. Users wanted to chat and exchange ideas and not to click ads, could have just been my niche as I have only that experience to go on.

Forums lead to ad blindness from repeat visitors. Better to use related affiliate programs, and like infolinks that embed in the text of posts

Forums are hard work also, if you are unlucky you'll get onto the xrummer list and have to clear out spam posts every day, as happened to me.

Depends greatly on the placement of ads; most forums don't execute well in this regard. That being said, with sufficient traffic AdSense can perform quite well depending on the audience.

Forums do make money from AdSense, but your question was "how are the earnings from forums?" Forums using AdSense make money like any site using AdSense - clicks and impressions (mostly clicks).

Adsense is working here but you need high quality traffic from genuine sources and lots of it, thousands, simply getting a few hundred unique visitors a day is not going to be enough traffic. Banner placement is key. Checkout SEO heatmaps for banner placement.

Some categories niches do not pay much per click so finding a popular adsense topic to make real genuine content pay for you is the key thing. Tech is the best topic and highest paid mostly so you need to value-add some how. Tech is not the only topic that will pay you but it is popular. You should check out with what's popular and go from there. With an over saturated marketplace, you need to develop trust and high quality info.

For the most part, verified members visit forums so you can be sure they are pretty well REAL people and not spam traffic to your forums (because people are signed up free and verified).
