Don't forget to compress all your .js files too. Some of them can be monstrotious.

Does your site have a database? If your site's php is poorly written, you can have loading issues because of that too.

If the site itself doesn't have big files -> a lot of data to download and doesn't have a remote database with a SLOW connection to the Web server your problem is either your own Internet connection (do other sites load fast enough?) or your Web host is not providing adequate bandwidth.

u can always use cache function to reduce the load time, but like other said above, make sure u write the php code in right way, because that can be the problem too

There is not given your website link so that I can't check your site. You can check here your site speed (gtmetrix.com , tools.pingdom.com) for better understanding your site speed issues. There are almost many factors responsible for loading speed. You need to optimize images(you can use tinypng.com for optimizing image size without losing image resolution ) (Large image also responsible for slow loading), Enable gzip compression, minify your html, css and javascript etc. If you want to keep good resolution you can also use lazy loading on image, videos, and iframe. Enable cache for your website. You can use CDN for better speed.

a slow site could be a number of factors...

You may have crappy internet connection.
You may have a cheap crappy hosting provider.
are you running WP? If so, some plugins can also kill resources,
    and slow down site speed....
many installed plugins can also decrease site speed.
If you have already installed cache plugin, and compressed everything
you can compress, then your problem maybe listed above....

Using these sites that check site speed may not always be accurate.
ask your host on how to actually check the load time on your site....

Thank you for reporting. It would have been helpful to others if you had mentioned which steps you took (whether suggested here or not) that were helpful and those which were not.

The whole "not providing the site or any information" mated to a vague "I fixed it" does come off as a bit sketchy/dubious/questionable... certainly doesn't help others who might come across this thread facing the same problems.

Use https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ to check your site.
It shows where you have problems, exepting hosting.

    BTW, DO is good enough

Use Photoshop to design graphic stuff like logo, banners, sliders etc., And save them like "Save for web" option that will decrease high quality images to web quality.

Use good hosting provider who can give good technical support.

    Delete unnecessary css code.
