U mean u will set this kind of campaign (unclosable, fake button, dialog spam)?

If yes so dont even think about that, we all webmaster hate such ads they are like cancer to the pop industry. And the people who run those campaign should burn in hell

 

No it was more a Question to the Popads Team.
Because we got a lot Complaints about unclosable Ads these Days.

 

It uses Cookies so might be spotty depending if your browser allows them and if they are not deleted.

I'd advise against. If someone sells you bot traffic you will be banned and I won't care about your story of not being guilty.

No I do not. We actively fight such advertisements(sometimes with more success, sometimes with less as we can see ).

 

There was already drop in prices from last few month but in last 3 days i am noticing a huge drop.

the cpms are droping for more of popads users as i can see in the digitalpoint , is this related to google chrome update or there is some thing else ?

 

I guess that's because advertisers are already running away from popup/popunder campaigns even before the chrome update?

@tomksoft can you please confirm if this is the case? Also would like to know if you are planning to move to banner ads or the update will be the end of popads.net in Jan?

 

Networkwide rates are fairly stable, but indeed quite low. Our advertisers seem OK, but demand from partner network has reduced a bit.

Advertisers at this moment seem to be mostly unaware of upcoming google changes. We are not moving to banners, but not planning on closing either.

Let me update you a little bit what has been happening in last few days about the google issue. There has been a tremendous response from the industry, more than 20 adnetworks (or even 30?) have joined forces to fight against upcoming chrome changes. That's also the reason why I wasn't overly active here for last few days as I am spending quite a bit of time on helping to organize the group and coordinate actions.
The group is currently working on technical, business and legal strategies to oppose google monopoly. And by working I do not mean talking.
We are already in process of writing scripts, talking with journalists, hiring lawyers etc. Basically launching attacks from all possible vectors.

A week ago, I was planning some actions alone, without much hope that I could really change anything. Right now, seeing tens of smart people representing multi million dollar companies planning and executing actions against google all days long, I am filled with optimism and hope.
Google has underestimated us - us as adnetworks, us as publishers and us as Internet users. They will be surprised.

 

@tomksoft , my full support for you. Good job challenging Goliath. I'm tired of this bullshit "safe advertising and improved user experience" google is selling. I'm also tired of dumb people buying this!

That is what many network are doing right now, we are not one of them.
First of all, our system is massively incompatible with the idea of native ads. Secondly, I think that native ads will be the next target of google (I hope you do not think that they will stop at current list of not allowed ads - better ads standard is just a draft, can be updated anytime).
If things get really bad, we will be able to do interstitial, but I am fairly sure that won't last more than a few months either.

 

hi tom. i have some troubles with one of my websites... i got 4, but one of them ( the one with most traffic) when i put the code send me the message "We could not find PopAds code on your website. Make sure it is properly installed." when navigate in the website the publicity appears perfectly, but the income has decreased considerably...



in the last month, i have the same promedy of visitors.. i dont know what is the problem.

i have another website with the same skin... and no troubles..

Yeah I know the feeling making over 30$+ on all other sites while pop ads is at 17$ the lowest its ever been.

I don't know about chrome because I'm not chrome user, but firefox already block pop from popads script.
I see it today, the pop still shown but ads not loaded just blank white screen with notice from firefox on head bar that pop is blocked.

I think this has happened since a few days ago.
