Need advice on starting an Online Business via Website.

Hello, I am currently looking forward to start a website for an Online Business. Now, there are plenty of e-commerce websites , news websites, gaming news websites etc. I was wondering to start an adult website. I would spend my every hour behind that site in promoting and building up traffic. I will give my all in working hard on managing the site. Of course, I will hire a professional website maker to build me that site and help me promoting and catching traffic and of course gonna pay him.
But I am just asking that whether it will be a good idea to start an adult website? I will keep video streaming, downloads, uploads, and all kinds of categories to be honest. I won't rule out a single thing. Basically I will combine every thing and every type of adult thing and put in my site.

Should I go for it , or what will be any other good online business idea via website that will fetch me at least 1800 - 2000 USD per month?

There are also a lot of adult sites :). If I were on your shoe, I would go with e-commerce site and try dropshipping or commission based selling. News sites are getting turned down because of fake news issues unless you can produce really good content. Or how about niche blogging? You can earn through adsense, affiliate links or infolinks. Just suggestions.

Well debbie, here we have Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal. The 3 most major ecommerece sites. So if I make one, I will never even make a single dime. Now I have no idea about niche blogging and dropshipping. Can you briefly explain if its okay?

Niche blogging is like you create a website, write useful content, start finding readers, engage with reader, build online traffic and start offer various ads - banner, adsense, infolinks, you can even charge people who would like to have a link from you.

Dropshipping, is like ecommerce but you don't have to buy the things you have to sell. I'll upload a sample model.[IMG]

yeah. a good idea. if you take part in several affiliate programs it a great source of passive income. you can share the information about different companies who suggest such a partnership. an example of such a program. http://www.templatemonster.com?aff=Eugenia_Gorbatenko

these guys sell web site templates, you can even buy one there))

if you take part, you can earn money just sharing links. you don't have to do something, the company pays you every time somebody purchases a template on their site. you get 30% of its price.

btw here is a promocode with 10% discount for any template. can be used any amount of times. z8gji92l4z23swal08t3hiu2p

    @Finn99 - you again! LOL

Mate, you certainly are keen :)

Here are two links I saved a number of years ago on the economics of the online adult industry which might give you a better background on the math:

There certainly is money to be made in this industry. If you build a quality site with quality content and do the right marketing, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to start a profitable business online.

I would stay clear from adult web sites.

A long time ago I assisted a buddy of mine with an adult site. The opportunity was great I was younger, it wasn't my money, and I wanted to have fun. I also thought it could be very profitable. We filmed the content ourselves. We bought top of the line equipment (at the time) which was the best 3ccd minidv camera we could find (SD heh). We used web sites like SexyJobs.com to advertise our parent site and recruit "models". The girls we hired had "huge" credentials and the ones that showed up looked like a train hit them. We even had my friends ex come and do their make up. We scanned their DL's and 2nd form of ID to comply with 2257. I'm convinced that we received fake ID's half the time which could have ended with us in huge trouble. Anyway, shooting was a lot of fun. Editing was a drain since the footage didn't look quite as good as other "pro amateur" films. We did about 10 shoots which cost over $15k then made the web site. We used CCBill as the processor. We pumped about $5k in to advertising and focused on SEO. If we received 100 memberships only maybe 5 or 6 kept it past the first month. About 10% of the members ended up charging back. It was never profitable.

A couple years later I had a friend who wanted to do the same thing. Now I have experience so we went for it again. He spent maybe $5k to shoot a few videos and it's pretty much the same story.

I wouldn't let go of the niche so I started promoting OTHER established web sites. The content I received from them was ALL over the web. I made referral sales but never enough to get truly excited about it to continue. Too much competition with saturated content.

About 10 years ago I created a strip club web site and resource. I actually saw success with this. The original idea was porn ideas but I later found success with web cams and advertising services. The problem that soon (rapidly) developed with promoting cam feeds from companies like LiveJasmin is that every major free porn site (PornHub, XTube, YouPorn, XHamster) promote livejasmin via a popup. This in return cookies EVERY single one of their customers. If a customer carries their cookie you cannot cookie them from your web site. About 65% of the traffic on my site that clicks on the ad are already cookied and I don't get paid.

From my experience...adult sites are a waste of money. And these days it's even harder!!!

Go for it. Try promoting a adult webcam affiliate program, these supposedly convert well.

You want to sell a product? If so, you could do drop-shipping, but the margin is extremely low. Or, you could buy inventory and resell it. You could also do affiliate marketing. You earn a commission for sales. A prime candidate would be Amazon Associates.
