The images must have its own alt tags in which will tell the search engines on what the image is all about and will index then provided to the search results in which related to the users query.

There are three things you can do to properly optimize your images for your online store:
    1. Save The Right Dimensions. You must open the image in Photoshop and view it at a 100%. ...
    2. Save Images For Web. It's possible to reduce the file size without significantly reducing the quality of your images. ...
    3. Compress Images For Web.

Use alt tags on your images. Because search engines cant read images you will be the one to describe what are the images are. On the other hand these alt tags are not only used for search engines purpose but also for visually impaired people. So as much as possible use the most appropriate alt tags on images.

Second the Alt Tags suggestions; make the Alt Tags the same as your Target Keyword that you are trying to rank for! Hope this helps.

    Hi Amina,
There are many different ways to optimize your images and rank your images
first thing you can add the same text to the image on your web page if you don't want to do it it so you can optimize your images through ALT attributes.
Set the proper Title for your Images that contain the desired keywords you actually want to rank for, write the proper Description for the image.

I am not getting you, can you clarify your point to me what you want to do? Are you want to write the same Title and Description for the Image and Your Post so there is no need to do this because you already did it by optimizing your Image. If you want to use the image with the post so use the different description for better results and by doing this you can target the more keywords for your post otherwise your post count to be over optimized.

He's asking because you can search through google using images. Also, you can find visually similar images on google. And that's why I'm also wondering...

    Hi,

Make sure that the pictures you are putting on your website have a caption and a relevant alt tag. Make sure that whatever the tags or caption you are putting, it should be as per the keywords of your website.

    Regards

Search engine does not read the images directly so in this situation add alt tags. After adding atl tags google identify this is the image, this flash file etc.
    <img src="images path" alt="related name to image" title="related name to image">

Exactly. And not just limited to Google. If you for example upload a picture of a famous person with a quote on it to Pinterest
and then click on the pic, you will probably see the exact same image of that person sometimes with different quotes
on them multiple times on the bottom of that page.

I have also found Youtube videos through keyterms where there was no trace of those terms present anywhere in, not even comments,
description, title etc. except for the content of one image within the video.

But since some people seem so convinced that there is no way that Google can read images, I suggest trying to
rank this image for "white background":
If you manage to do so, I promise to eat my words and publicly state that I have been imagining things.

    1. Name Your Images Descriptively and in Plain English
    2. Optimize Your Alt Tags Intelligently

    3. Strategize Your Image Dimensions and Product Angles
    4. Reduce the File Sizes of Your Images
    5. Know Which Image File Type to Use for the Right Situations

So just to confirm is it possible to optimize a website with just images and quotes. Can adsense be used for such a website?

Use alt tags and title tags of your target keywords. Also use keywords in the image filenames.
