Setup WP latest version using an old database

    Hey,

    I have a number of WP sites and most have been hacked – I am wanting to upgrade all sites to the latest version but still keep the information in the databases – themes also if possible.

    Can that be done?

    Yes, you can.
    But you must ensure that the uploading database file is clean, (i.e. free from malicious codes). Otherwise infected contents may harm you again. Hackers might inject malicious codes to your database.

    So, I recommend to upload db & contents from a pre-hacked backup files.
