    Sorry for this question:

    is it possible to use Twitter WITHOUT my own mobile phone number?

    I want to read as a follower the twitter messages of others inside Windows browser.

    However I am forced to enter my own mobile phone after registration.

    Why?
    Is there a workaround for this?
