adwords and clickbank

I want to promote clickbank products via adwords. but is there a way in adwords to tell me wheather that click has resulted in a sale.
also does adwords work for clickbank and other affiliate programs alike.

 

You can get a conversion tracking code in your adwords account and ask your vendor to put it on their thank you page. This will show exactly how many $ you spent to make the sale.

if you are prepared to take your conversion data from ClickBank you can simply add a tracking variable to your hoplinks, like so:

http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=1234abcd

where the value of your tid variable is some tracking id. i think there might be an 8-character limit on the tid. anyway, ClickBank will record the tid along with a sale, so you can perform campaign tracking by looking at your stats page on ClickBank's site.

if you can convince a ClickBank merchant to implement Google conversion tracking by adding some Google code to their thank you page (which is where ClickBank places the customer after a sale) you can track conversions from within your Adwords account. i posted some code on how this might be done at this location: http://www.clickbanksuccessforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5293

Yes, with adwords you can promote clickbank products and other products as well. Adwords is not limted to clickbank.

You can even sell your own products.

 

You decide what the tracking code is. Then, you'll see it in your sales reports.

A handy tip ... after making a few sales for a program consider asking the vendor to put your code on their site ... they tend to be more open after you've made some sales
