    Hello everyone,
I manage a news site (this one: http://www.lajm-shqip.com/new/) and it has almost 30000 items but i am not satisfied with the search traffic in Google Analytics.
Can you tell me which could be the best and newest ways to grow such a site online?
    Thank you!

Improve social media engagements. Know your target audience and build connections. When you share posts on social media, use creative visuals.

Here is the real truth, there are dozens of sources for traffic.

The real question is, what is your real objective in putting up your site.

Was it just for fun, hobby or business.

Since it's a news site, then i assume it's business.

Then treat it as a business.

    Buy advertisements.

Use adwords or go to FB so you can properly target your audience or you can even advertise here at digitalpoint.

Connect with bloggers via guest posts.

Expect to meet failures. Try to experiment so you will know what works and what doesn't in your niche. Keep on improving.

And if you're planning to DIY SEO or Social Media Marketing, be prepared to spend a lot of quality time and you really need to work hard!

You can start paid campaign to promote your website. And also improve your social media presence and share your blog-post.

I'll go with the others and say social media is the best way to make your site visible. Talk about it there, advertise about it often. People will soon be following when they see it often.

Google news could get you more traffic. It should be noted that they have many rules and guidelines, and if you don't comply with them you will not be included. However, it's worth to give it a consideration.

The best way to build traffic for a new site, is to connect to the people who need what you offer on your website. Figure out who these people are, and then go market and promote where these people are located. How you choose to do so, is the challenge. Be creative. Think like your news readers. Random links just for the sake of random traffic is not going to help you in the long run.

Target your promotional efforts directly at the people who need your news.

After having your blog be active and running, you need to promote it in order to get visitors and also traffic. There're many ways to promote and get traffic, both free methods and paid methods.

Free methods such as: Doing SEO, Social Media Content sharing, Youtube sharing, Facebook Content (Fanpage, Group), Twitter, Google+, Pinterest,...and many other channels that give you free using and promotions

Paid methods such as: Doing SEM such as Google Adwords, GDN, Solo ads, Facebook ads, banner ads,...

So it depends on your budgets that you will choose which methods can give you the best effort, or you need to combine between free & paid methods in order to get the highest effective results

    I hope this helps.

    • Find the one social media platform that YOUR target audience seems to favor and stick with it.
    • Learn the ins and outs of it.
    • Master all the nuances of social media traffic generation from that platform.
    • Figure out how to put most of it on autopilot.
    • Move on to the next one.

I would not be satisfied either...

    • news is a terrible niche to be in...
    • you are only sydicating content

I am not really sure what you expect on a low quality site
just syndicating news from other sites....

You think just because you have 30,000 pieces of content that is already
on the internet is going to be a game changer for you?

all these people in here giving you bad advice about promoting your
site; first, you need to have a site worth promoting to begin with....

    just say'n....

Choose a social channel and work full power on it. Let's say Facebook or Twitter, or both even better. I see that you already have a good following on Facebook.

As many people mentioned, and probably what you can expect - sharing your posts continuously WILL bring you tons of free traffic. I see news websites share their post with attractive and interesting headlines, and tons of people comment, share, like. Also, advertising on other sites, it might take time but you can even contact website owners manually and offer them a pay for advertising space (on websites that already have kind of traffic that you need). Perhaps even collaboration with other news sites?

I think one of the most important things in your niche are catchy headlines and informative but easy to read content. Do your readers find it?

The first thing I notice is that you have a terrible domain name. I'm curious, do you even rank on it?

I would recommend try paid traffic. Udimi will work great in your case.

Firstly, you should try to create original and interesting content if possible. Then try to get into Google news. Social media such as Facebook pages, Facebook groups and Twitter will also be helpful to driving traffic to your site.
