    You get one word replies because YOU are NOT asking the RIGHT questions. Ask the right questions and you will either get NO REPLY (move on brother) or she will be gushing (you made HER day).

    Usually if the girl only responds to your essay with a yes, no, maybe, then she's just not interested. Move on. And I don't think its a girl thing, guys do it too. People in general do it if they're just not interested. Give her space, and if she wants to start up a conversation, she will. Let her throw the ball.
