    Hi Guys,

I need a site moved to a new host urgently. Its pretty large the database is 264mb for example and the wordpress export is 64mb.

Pretty much first person to apply who can do this type of work can have the job.

    Thanks

This seems like a pretty simple job as long as it entails ONLY moving the data, not setting up the new host.

And, no, I am not interested in doing it.

A 264 MB db isn't "large". It's miniscule. But I'm guessing you're on shared hosts, with limits...

If the database import failed it most likely due to upload size limit is lower than your current database's size.

Ask your new host the max size limit for upload. Some host limit the upload size to 100Mb (which may cause in failed database import) and others may cap it at 500Mb.

If your new host refuse to increase the max upload size, you could export the database based on each part and not as whole database. If there is an option to export the database to multiple files (based on file size), you may need to use it.

It would be nice to compress the database (via old host or via localhost) first before being uploaded to your new host (it could save much spaces).

And yes, 264 Mb is not large database file. I think you can do it easily.
