Was it necessary to submit website to all search engines once a month

I do receive some emails from SEO companies where they are mentioning some important to-do tasks in monthly SEO campaign for a blog or website.
In that, automated monthly submission to 100+ search engines.

What is this so called? Is it necessary? Does all SEO companies do follow this practice?
Requesting your answer to make a decision.

Haha this was the first scam I fell for when I first started online marketing.

No you don't need to submit your website to search engines. The search engine bots will discover your website via links.

There's absolutely no need to submit your site anywhere other than to Google and Bing. Even submitting to Google is not a requirement. If you have a Google webmaster account, all you need to do is verify your site, submit a sitemap and the googlebot will do the rest. Sometimes webmasters are so desperate they buy into this notion that they can get more traffic by submitting their site to a bazillion of search engines. The problem is pretty much all those search engines are dead.

Not really, once is enough. If you update your site frequently then search engines will surely index it. You can check on SERP when was the last time your site pages has been indexed, through 'cache'

It seems to me that you are dealing with spam or scam companies that probably use bad backlinks in order to promote your website. They can get you higher ranking on SERPs and more traffic fast, but it’s a short-term success. In order to have a serious, successful website, you have to produce and offer high-quality original content. There’s no fast way to success, you have to do it step by step.

Website submissions to search engines are outdated. Maybe it was useful 10-15 years ago, but nowadays it's not useful anymore. Why? Search engines like Google regularly search the Internet for content to index. If you have a website, you will soon find it on Google. Regarding the 100+ search engines, it sounds like the SEO guides are misleading you. Maybe they want to sell a service where you pay to be listed in these 100+ search engines. In fact you don't have to bother.

The biggest search engine is Google and most people use this search engine to search on the Internet. The vast majority of your traffic will come through Google. Then there is Bing, but they also have a good indexing so there's no need to worry about submitting your website. It's good that you are critical and don't believe everything you hear from those so-called "SEO gurus". If you weren't critical, you wouldn't ask about it here.

    site:yourwebsite.com

It will show the indexed pages.

It is not necessary to submit your site to any search engine that is worth your time. If you get a google plus account and put a link to your site there, your site will automatically be indexed.

Be sure your /robots.txt file allows search engines to index the pages you want being found.

Also, if you want a good backlink, find a blog (of someone else) that is number one in your niche and ask them if you can guest post there with a link back to your site. Your site will be indexed shortly.

    Good luck. ☺

    Don't fall for these Scams.

    You have 2 Options.

1- Just Submit Your Site "Once" not Monthly/Yearly to Main Search Engines ( Google, Yahoo, Bing ) via Google/Bing Webmaster tools, These Search engines generate 99% Online Traffic, Rest search engines are crap & not worth time or money. And after this start building Backlinks for Your site.

2- Make Quality Backlinks for your site. By this, Search Engine Bots or crawlers will find your site and start indexing it.

Choose Option 1 as Webmaster tools area give Good insights about your website.

Note: If You need help you can Pm me :)

    or

If major changes are made to the site then only try to re-submit , which normally is not required because if the site is submitted once it will be crawled when updated are done, if you don't see the auto updates then do it.

No need to submit every month, if you are not able to track webmaster date then you have to do.

It's not mandatory or important to submit a web link to search engine every month on regular basis because boots will take care of it and try to focus on delivering quality content which will increase your website worth in search engine indexing.

According to me for informative website it is good to resubmit once in a month but for commercial or ecommerce website it is not important to resubmit once a month in in a moth only one page updated or something, if many pages are updated or added then we should resubmit this.
