Would need a little more info... what you are wanting to edit, the URL, etc. The more info the better.

I need to edit the body of my advertisement in Content Creation. I tried to edit it but when I click 'edit' it takes me to 'thread bump'. If I can't edit the ad, I'd like to delete it and start anew.

If you first bump the post you'll be able to edit the body (and the title).

Nope. When I bump the thread there is no option to edit. I can't bump it now because I did a few days ago.

Oh, I see. Usually it has an edit option available for the first 8 hours (something like that) after the bump. Sorry, you will have to ask a mod to help you edit it.

Okay I've tried. If the only way to delete or edit the post is once a month when I use the 'bump thread' option, I might as well create a NEW ad, but if I do that I'll get penalized? Why can't I just delete or edit a post easily instead of having to climb a mountain?

Still waiting for an official response. If I can't delete or edit my old post, can I post a new ad with updated info without being penalized for having more than one ad?

Duplicate threads are not allowed if that's what you are asking.

Thanks regarding the 'duplicate threads' point, but I know that already. Would you be so kind as to address my primary request? So far I've gotten nowhere trying to follow DP's guidelines, which seem to work for some, but not all.

You need to be more specific. Still don't have a URL for example. Also, what guidelines are you not able to follow?
