    actually I've used several tools for KW research different tools use for different reasons,it depends on buyers site and what kind of keyword i need to generate :)

    basic are
    google keyword planner
    keywordtool .io
    and keyword everywhere (chrome extension )

    Lots of keyword tools are here which can be used in either free or paid version, but I recommend, Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest and SEMRush as well...

    The best tools I use are Google Keyword Planner, LSIgraph for Semantic Keywords and Long Tail Pro for low competitive long tail keywords. There are many other free tools that I use often viz. Ubersuggest, Ahrefs and Keyword Finder. Ultimately all the tools fetch the keywords from Google.

    I can see that people are referring Google Keyword Planner to you but honestly, I found it very confusing. Most of the time I use SERPs, SEMRUSH, and Keywordtool.io. SEMRUSH is a paid tool.
