Incentive / Non-Incentive The Difference?

I might seem a real newb here lol but what is the difference between Incentive and Non-Incentive in Affiliate Marketing

 

With incentive offers, you can give your visitors an incentive to get a lead. With non-incentive offers, that is not allowed.

An example of an incentive would be to give out a free ebook to anyone who applies for the offer, or maybe a cash incentive, the choice is yours.

 

basically it means giving the user added reason to perform an action, like paying them $5 or giving them an ipod.

 

another thing to remember

incentive = more fraud (better for the affiliates)
non-incentive = less than 1% fraud (better quality for the advertisers)

 

To put it simply:

Incentive = People get rewarded for signing up to an advertiser
Non-Incentive = People DO NOT get rewarded for signing up to an advertiser

Advertisers usually don't like Incentive sites, and some affiliate programs reject incentive sites as there is more fraud committed by people who sign up to the advertiser. Why? B/c people will sign up to many advertisers and don't really care. They just care about getting rewarded for their effort. Whereas, on the other hand, when you don't reward people, they will have a legitimate sign up to an advertiser b/c they don't get rewarded for doing so.

 

Also, my advice is to always double check that incentives are allowed on campaigns.

 

Exactly!!! Incentive sites are definitely a challenge. You want people to be legitimately interested in an offer. And, sometimes even though you may have legitimate leads, some merchants take advantage of that and say that because you are incentive most of your leads are fraudulent.

 

Incentive sites would include things like cashback shopping portals, "get paid to signup" or PTS sites, paid surveys, get paid to / GPTs and others! Best of luck to you.

I've been promoting both incentive offers and incentive sites through the same affiliate network. Was the poster looking for GPT or paid to signup sites with incentivized offers or an affiliate network to build an incentive site/ I think fraud is more likely with incentive sites but 99% is a little high! : )
