There is only one way to make money online

To get straight to the point, to make money online you need to solve people's problems.

When people come onto the internet they are looking for a solution most of the time. The most common searches in google are things like 'how to make money fast', 'how to lose weight quickly', 'how to learn programming' or 'how to trade stocks profitably'.

They want the solution to their problem as quickly as possible and in the most consumable way possible. If you want to make money, you need to give them this. People
are willing to pay for solutions.*

If you can offer them a REAL solution then you have a good thing going. When I say real, I mean an actual guide of some sort with practical steps to implement and meaningful advice. If you say that you can show someone how to build a professional website, then your product needs to really SHOW them how to do exactly that. If it just sort of gives a guide on what to do with no real concrete steps, it just isn't going to work for you.

You really need to focus on serving your audience. They will appreciate your efforts and they will repay you for it over time. Often in ways you don't expect.*

The more value you can provide, the more money you will make. The greater the problem you can solve in your market place, the greater your income will be.

This is why it is a good idea to give away free stuff on your sites or blogs. People love free stuff. And if you can deliver really helpful content for free, people will naturally come to your site looking for solutions to their problems (in whatever niche concerned) and they will be willing to pay for products or courses that you offer because they know that you have helped them before and they feel a sense of trust in you.

Instead of focusing on profits, really focus on serving your audience and delivering quality solutions to their problems and you will see that profits will simply be a result of your efforts.

Solving people's problems? People's problems = money? XD
You're trying to make money by solving people's problems that is also money.
The solution to this equation is the absurd :p

Great points. Been following something similar for many years now. "Service your audience" is not easy though. You have to have good customer service skills, patience. Not everybody is cut out to do this long term.

Well, what he means is that most products and services are made to address people's needs. Knowing what people need would be a good way to do business.

Knowing what needs your products or services meet, helps you determine the level of value your business adds to your target market. Companies achieve more success through this process, and consumers tend to appreciate products or services that that connects with them by meeting their needs.

You want people to need the product or service you are promoting, and try doing it better than the competition. :)

It's always been like this - that is the supply/demand rule. I totally agree with The IM guys. Although, it's hard not to focus on making profits when you need them :) But, if you want to make profits AND serve your audience, just go step in their shoes. You always want to treat others as you want to be treated yourself. And of course, do some research, what is that the audience needs. It's always easier to find what the demand is than making people want what you have :) But innovation rules the world. If you are a risky person - go ahead! Good luck to everyone

You can also make money by providing quality information - I like what syda said
you fan fill peoples need that they might not know existed: like live sports and digital TV
You can create new sevices that add value to business
And then there is selling online afcorse
I dont think any web business can make profits from day one : but then again with the web anything can happen for everyone else you just need to find the way to bring your ideas to reality.
