    BOTW is a very old and authorized web directory and for me it is worth submitting any website in this directory.

    There is no difference aside from who purchases advertising space from whom. Especially when the SEO conventions come. You can pay the right people and suddenly you have a respectable "directory".

    i don't believe only Botw as Paid Directory alone worthy to got your site submitted into there some too out there that hold good standard.. But it hard to find it like finding a needle on the sea, so i suggest you to start to find it on nearest sea now.

    As I stated in another thread, BOTW has real editors, much like DMOZ had, and they REVIEW each listing. In my opinion I don't think that there are more than 7-10 directories alive out there that have any sort of editorial discretion, because as Matt Cutts himself stated this is the key difference between a spam directory and a credible directory.

    And it's really simple... just surf the SEO, WEb Design, Insurance categories. If you see words like "the best", "cheapest"... (once I saw in a directory about 20 listings all being "the best" in the same niche :)) ) just close the tab and move further.
