    Ghost is one of the best alternatives for WordPress. But I just want to know that why you are looking for WordPress alternatives, whether WordPress is one of the best and easy to manage platform.

    I'd be looking at what you need to do, rather than simply looking for an alternative.

    And then there's other issues like your ability to write plugins (if they're needed), ability to edit themes, availability of themes etc. Until you have the project spec it's impossible to come up with alternatives.

    There're many such as Joomla, Drupal, Blogger,...If you want to find ecommerce platforms that alternative Wordpress too then there're Magento, OpenCart,...IMO

    A few years ago, Joomla and Drupal were considered WP alternatives, but WP advanced in leaps and bounds and has an amazing variety of plugins and themes.
    Considering it's free, you need a very good reason to go elsewhere.

    Ghost is not an alternative for WordPress... for starters it runs on a completely different platform and is very focused on blogging.

    WordPress is now a full featured CMS.

    If i'm looking for WordPress alts i'll generally go for:

    Thats true :) We can only really compare like for like so I wouldn't be able to recommend Ghost.

    I love Ghost and think it is one of the best platforms for writing but can't really be put in the same boat as WP.
