Keywords are ranking but No traffic!!

i have created website almost 2 months ago, i m applying low keyword competition in my articles. some of the keywords are ranking in google. but still m not getting traffic as a organic source, why? how exactly to apply seo strategy in article? i usually look for low competition of keywords and and i keep density like 1%, depending on article length.

Please let me know SEO strategy to get organic traffic.

 

Try checking in google competition tool how many search it should get you monthly - if you're in top 3 even for long tail you have to get traffic, how it would be converting is another thing.

 

You said the keyword is low competition. How much traffic does the keyword receives in a month? How difficulty the keyword is?
Check your keyword difficulty with this tool.

There is a small strategy, If you get ranked in top places for low competition keywords then you will get ranked in some position for high competition two phrase keywords too. So try to rank more low competition keywords. Rank at least 10 keywords for to receive organic hits.

 

1.What should be ideal low search volume?
2. 100 or 1k preferable?
3.suppose if I have keyword " how to rank on Google" and I posted as " how to first place rank on Google" will this work?

because of choosing extremely low competition keyword you can get rank easily but you can't get traffic. so it is good if you choose medium competition keyword.

 

yea i guess you are right, i have choosen low competition keywords. Which seems very "low"

 

than change your keyword and add medium competition keyword.

 

Low competition and low volume are the different thing. Check your keyword volume first. If you're ranking in top 3 for those keywords, try to target your short keywords. make a proper strategy before implementing your SEO effort.

 

You have choosen low competitive keywords then how you will get much traffics. Try to find 1k-10k AVG monthly search keywords with low competitors.

 

They are low competitive keywords for a reason they probably don't have high search volume.

 

two months older website's ranking is always good which falls behind after sometimes if competition is intense and if competition is not then building traffic is easy through social media

 

Try to check your site by high ranking keywords and you will probably see that there is no your site in top

 

Any keyword which has 2000+ monthly search volume will be a good marketing keyword.
Since you're new to SEO, we can go a head with 1K.
You need to be more specific, for example - You cannot rank easily for the keyword "How to make money online" Eventhough it is long tail and 4 phrase keyword.
You can use something like: How To Get To Number 1 On Google with simple internal link building

Keep in mind that ranking your site for a certain keyword doesn't give you an assurance that you will get traffic.
Don't just focus on the keywords, see if title and description is also helpful on search.
Attract clicks through keywords but most especially with title and description too.

what if i targeted on keywords which shows zero search volume in google(eventhough it is longtail and keyword difficulty is less), will it rank and is it benefit for my website?

 

Long tail keywords will generate the majority of traffic to your site. Each post can rank for lots of longtails.

 

There are several factors, please check below.

1. User Experience: User experience of your site is not good, the website is not offering what the visitor is looking from. May be your keyword is different from what your landing page is saying.

2. Title & Meta Description: Title & Meta Description are the representation of your site on the SERP. So engaging and to the point Title and Meta Description can help you a lot.

3. Poor Landing Page: Landing page is very important, if it is not serving what the user is looking for you will not get much traffic. Create a landing page which describes the title and Meta Description and having a call to action.
