I am done working for a boss and since a couple months internet marketing peaks my interest.

My main focus will be affiliate marketing, dropshipping with a bit of cpa.

I already have 2 niches lined up but saving up for a couple plugins and miscellaneous software to get started which probably will be next month.

Have been reading for a while now and decided to be an active member.

A late, happy new year! And i wish you all a nice financial year.

I guess you clicked it  Don't just read, drop a line and make Billy Batts feel welcome :D

Hmm, over 150 views and not a single welcome, i thought this was a bit of the more active message boards but has been the first one where it's so quiet.

We're probably unable to type because we're wringing our hands anxiously over a guy who is "done working for a boss", giving up his job but can't afford a plugin and doesn't have the skills to write one.

Some IMers are still getting over their hangovers. Give it a few more days.

On the other hand there have been many similar threads on DP over the years. The consensus usually is: It's not a good idea to flip your boss the bird (figuratively speaking) and start something that may or may not work out in the end. Stuff like that should happen gradually, particularly if you have a family to feed.

It's not good to troll people sarahk.

Welcome Billy_Batts, I hope you've chosen the right path, leaving the safety of a steady pay and venturing into a freelance is quite a risk! But what life's worth without risks?

Don't wait for the plugins, start your MVP and pitch for friends and family, then keep developing your product/service until you reach you full potential.

    Good luck!

Depends who they are, some people deserve to be trolled.

Leaving a stable job for a career in IM is ridiculous if you have nothing to fall back on, which he obviously hasn't as he can't even afford some plugins, he should stay in his job until he is able to support himself.
It can take years to reach his "full potential", what's he going to live on in the meantime, fresh air??

    :D:D:D

Well, I can agree with you on that, but we don't know exactly what is his situation. At some point, people happen to make wrong decisions that happen to be good ones. We are not waiting for a miracle to happen, but when a person work for himself, he become self-motivated. But I totally respect your opinion.

And btw, we don't know how much does these plugins or miscs cost!

I agree some people deserve to be trolled, but let's minimize this as much as we can. I hope.

You don't know me, you don't know nothing about the bills I pay or the support I pay ;) and actually starting a new job soon, that doesn't mean I don't want to work for myself. I already in the process of opening 3 webstores, 1 in my own country and 2 international but hey, people always need to bitch about something right ;)

Thanks for the welcome to the rest of you all ;)

But which one is it? First you said: "Done working for a boss", now you're saying: "starting a new job soon".

You need to make up your mind. Realistically speaking you can't hold a job and run three web stores. You'll burn out.
