gorgon: thanks for the entry. It's hard to judge it because even though it has a couple of great elements that I really like such as the colors and definitely has a grunge effect, the rest doesn't do it form me. It looks somehow unbalanced and a little plain. Again it's hard to explain because while I like simple I do not like plain and your design while it is simple (which I like) it is also a little plain. Also, I prefer not to use dumbbells or barbells because unless you are a lifter the barbell could look a little light if it doesn't have enough weight on the bar.

meanymoo: thanks. Much, much better. Definitely an improvement. Right now it is one of my top two favorites. The font looks good and so does the colors. What I would change though is the amount of "splash" background above the logo. I think there just is too much splash which is not necessary, so once it reaches the logo I would stop there. There is one other thing that is bothering me though and I am not sure how to explain it. It is either the color of the logo which I think is too strong or the position of the logo (or maybe both). So perhaps make the logo the same color as the slogan and or also change its position. Nevertheless, overall the design looks really good.

technoguy: thanks for the entry. All I can say is it definitely making it a little harder for me to pick a winner Looks really good. If I was to improve it I would change the white to a grey because I personally do not like too much contrasting colours and also I would use some effect for the text and logo because they look a little too clean and I like something more masculine, more rugged. I wouldn't change the font, but I would think of doing an effect to it so it looks more rugged/grunge.

technoguy: #26 looks good although I would have also added more grunge to the L_ifting word. The colour looks good though. But I am not sure about the position of the logo. The oval for the logo looks good but somehow I just don't like at all where you positioned it. It just doesn't flow well somehow. Perhaps making the logo smaller would work better and then placing it somewhere at the top. Just a thought but the main issue I have is the position of the logo. Everything else looks good. Same with #28. I am just not sure about the positioning of the logo though overall it looks better than #26

Padurariu Alexandru: much, much better than the first one. There seems to be too much color now or too much color combination. The font you chose now looks much, much better and it definitely looks more masculine. I am not sure about the red background. While it looks good in a way it looks a little "arty" and I need something a little more rugged looking. I would change both the red and white to different shades of grey (both of them) and I would change that red effect which looks like arty brush strokes. And lastly I am not sure this is just me, someone from the western world, but that effect between the slogan and the logo looks like some kind of a construction symbol.

Gorgon: thanks for the new one. I am sorry but it is not going in the right direction. It just doesn't seem to flow well. It seems like the elements you used in the design are a little different from each other.

ideosmil: thank you for entering this contest. I have never been more puzzled by an entry. Your entry ticks a lot of the boxes: it has a font I very much like, it is simple and clean (I like simple but not plain) and I like that and also very importantly it has that masculine, grunge, rugged effect I am after. But the reason I am puzzled is even though your entry ticks a lot of the boxes and follows my instructions and has a lot of elements I have asked for, overall it doesn't do it for me and I cannot understand why. I am sorry but I cannot explain it. Perhaps the colours are too strikingly different and I prefer colours that are closer to each other. I really don't know and I am sorry I cannot explain it.

meanymoo: thanks. Love the font, love the effect you used for the font, I like the colours you used but somehow the position of the logo just doesn't do it for me Still I can see myself using it and modifying it if I choose it as the winner.
