How do you deal with PR emails?

    Hey guys!

When you receive an email from a PR firm, let's say of a recipe from a restaurant they're working for, how do you respond?

Seems like there should be a little quid pro quo involved - but they aren't necessarily asking for anything.

What are PR firms REALLY after? What can I ask for in return?

    Thanks!

Personally I ask them right up front if they are looking for something in return. Most of them are only trying to promote their clients business. I would use this opportunity to try and gain promotion for my own business as well, pretty much like you said a quid pro quo.

If what they are working suits, then I would think that I would at least look into it. Otherwise I would treat it as any other spam--which is to say ignore the email.
