They have definitely changed something in their engine. I used to use Firefox to edit and save large files (50+MB), since it was doing it faster. After Chrome got updated a couple days ago I can now do this on either one of them.
It's not about the download speed per se, it's more about how the engine functions, I guess. With the old Chrome it could literally take 10 sec. for a 10MB file to get saved (in the cloud or in my web hosting provider). Not anymore. I wonder if they got complains about it and addressed it in this new update.
You are right, I am experiencing same with my chrome browser , its seem its become faster & downloading file smoothly .
I agree, it is faster. It's like I am using a new browser or something. You don't notice those things until something changes. The old version was slightly sluggish.
After update my Chrome stopped using Java on some websites ( anyway, I'm not very satisfied with updates
Which ones? I haven't encountered that yet, would be interesting to see what they block (or don't block).
No doubt Chrome is fast and stable than firefox and edge browsers, but still Memory RAM consumption is still a major downfall for Chrome, as it consumes more RAM than any other web browser.
