Contest Logo for fitness training company ($75)

Hi Guys
Need your help again for a new project i am working on for a client of mine.
They are a new company and provides fitness training to young people.

The brand name is Academy of Fitness
The target audience is 16 - 24 year olds so try to keep it vibrant.

I am open to ideas from you all about the look and feel of the logo. However, the client do have a preference. He likes the old school university hoodie type look and feel. So keep that in mind as the logo will certainly go on hoodie and T shirts and must look nice on them.

Please note that this is a new client and we need to make a good example..so please ake your time and then submit some thing that i can present to him.. not a rushed job please..

The winning contestant will be further engaged to design other assets for this brand.. like brand guide book, social media , business cards.. etc.

 

How long this contest will open sir...I mean the deadline

confused... what is the artwork above the text supposed to be?

 

nope.. :-( dont like the text font and also no sure how the artwork aorund "of" has to do any thing with fitness or health

the font is not doing it for me.. the dumbbell (weights) is bit too big and takes focus away from the actual brand name.. again remember that it will go on a hoodie.. so ensure it looks cool and not cheap.. idea is to make this brand look respectable and established like a traditional old school university .. tacky design wont cut it.. :-(

 

also an note to all.. the logo should incorporate a icon which will later become the favicon and profile image for social media accounts.

NOPE... 1. cant read the "of fitness" without standing on my head... 2.need to remove the barbell as we also need to keep it female frendly. 3. stick to the direction of my comments above ie it needs to look like old school college hoodie type design. 4. also reflect my comments on the colors..
