    I normally use Illustrator for Logo design. Inkscape also a good software for Logo design.

    I too am not as much gifted in the design dept so with all the 'I'm a terrible designer' comments I see going on throughout this thread I figured I would man up here and make a suggestion to the other design impaired people who might come across this. It is intuitive & able to create logos in surprising detail (being that it is a free program) Enjoi :)

    I use Serif DrawPlus X8. It's fairly simple to use and you can create reasonably good logos with little experience.

    Canva, you can't go wrong with it. Fast and Easy!

    Photoshop is good too but you're gonna need a library of stock arts to create unique logo.

    I tend to use GIMP as well as Photoshop, the ability to use layers and be able to manipulate those layers comes in handy quite frequently.

    But WebmasterPhil is absolutely right, you need a very in depth library of stock arts to work with. It makes things much easier.

    Illustrator... it's strange for me to see many advises about photoshop. Logo can change its size (from busines card to signboard). you need to create vector image, because the quality of logo must be good for any sizes

    use photoshop cs nothing is better then ps cs and if you dont know how to use photoshop then you can try onces .. or you can try plr stuff also for logo making ... plr stuff like 123 LogoKit there are few more software for logo creating but 123 logo kit is damn simple and easy to use .. even 8 yr boy can make logo using the kit.:D
