    first thing is, check manually how many site indexed in Google by using command Site:yourdomain.com. And yes about your xml sitemap, you can add your xml link i.e /sitemap.xml into robots.txt. I hope it will helpful to you.

    If problem persist: Minimize duplicate conent and get some incoming links as well.
