    You are absolutely right.

Actually, if you have been installed Alexa toolbar or following to Alexa algorithm, it does matter otherwise it doesn't matter.

Hi Sharon, now a days PR (Page Rank) is almost gone, so now for your site quality Alexa is best. If your site alexa is growing too fast that means something happen that is not good for your site. Suppose, now your site alexa is 125000, but after some days it's rising to 129000. it's bad.
But if it's showing 120000, then it's good for your site.

I think now it's clear for you.

Hi Sharon, Alexa rank is only a tool in which calculates your current website's traffic. So it has something to do with your site's performance in the web but always remember that great traffic doesn't always convert. Focus your time and effort for the website as well as importantly to your target audience.

Did you ever know what are you talking about? Totally clueless.

Lower Alexa rank=Better than higher Alexa rank.
However, I wouldn't waste a minute of my time worrying about - it's not really relevant anymore - and even then, I never really thought it was 10 years ago.

Google Algorithm is very complex as they change numerous times a year to something completely different. A few years ago, around 2011-2012 I went to a Internet Marketing Expo in Central London. There was a particular " SEO Expert " that kept harping on about the Alexa Ranking's importance to Google Ranking. He stated that Alexa Rank is a measure of your site popularity to other sites thus it is determines which site gets more traffic and used to attracts more advertisements and gets more ads. He stated Google used the Alexa Ranking to determine this information before. I actually believe this is more true in the late 2000s. Obviously in this current day it isn't the case but Google SEO was transparent in the early years, we never know all the true factors and they are interchanging every so often.

What an absolute load of horse manure! Google has NEVER ever used the Alexa ranking! You are totally clueless and just making that shit up
NO serious or real SEO has ever taken the ALexa ranking seriously. It was always a useless meaningless metric that counted for nothing.

That is total bullshit and no expert would have said that ever. It was NEVER true. You are just making that up.

Why would I need to make something like that up? I feel like you're taking it personal but I'm just stating my experience. Please feel free to make valid points rather then just disregard it and leave "BS" and "Horse Manure" type comments. We can all take the input as we're on this journey together and I wouldn't mind learning how it works now.

I have no idea why you would make that up for. You made it up, so only you can know your motivations for doing so.

I think you will find that there will not be a single poster here that will ever agree with your claims. I think you will also not find a single credible reference anywhere on the web supporting your claims (which is pretty good evidence that you did make it up).

Those who post bullshit and make stuff need o be treated with contempt and called out on it to avoid the spreading of untruths and myths.
