When it comes to Alexa, the opposite is the truth :). The lower the rank, the better.

3,00,000-5,00,000 is good for you to say that you are doing some work for ur website. for advertisers satisfaction its around 1,00,000-2,00-000 is perfect

I don't think many serious advertisers would take Alexa rankings to heart or even look at them. Alexa ranks you, but that doesn't generally mean your website is generating X traffic. An advertiser would want hard numbers which you can track using other tools (Analytics for example).

This way an advertiser not only gets the traffic but other details such as the geographic of the visitors and so on.

Here's a fun fact that might disappoint you. Alexa is pointless its for weak people who want something to tell them how well ranked their site is, face of the matter is there's no way to find ranking, alexa or any other site.. I see this thread was created in 2009, but it's 2016 now, forget about alexa guys.

Lowest number is great for website in alexa. You try to decrease your alexa in thousand's or hunderd's....

In my experience, being <100,000 is ideal. I have in the past sold advertising on my site to advertisers and made about $15,000 over three months. That was the most I got. My site at the time was ranked 75,000th. But that was about 6 years ago. My current site is ranked 250,000th and rising quickly. I find that advertisers and PR care more about verified statistics than Alexa these days, because Alexa can either fluff or understate the performance of a site.

Similarweb.com is good because you can attach your analytics profile to it, so anyone looking at it will know your stats are verified.

I was about to say the same thing ;)
Bigger font plus URL to external link make me think that post is created for spamming purposes. :p

In 3 months I want to drop my alexa rank to 80k, its a start right? But n 6-9 months i want it to be 10k. Would 10 k alexa rank mean I would be starting to have serious potential for getting advertising revenues?

What is a good alexa ranking, generally speaking (whatever the niche)?

PS: GOt my first adsense check!! I know its not much but its a start
getting it around 10k would need lots of work.. but yes u can achieve it easily. it has nothing to do with advertising as far as i know.

It doesn't mean less rank better your website position...Not always...If you focus on. Small countries they usually have good ranking in their own country due to less competition.
