    One word to grow your twitter followers. "Giveaways"

    "Retweet tweet to get entered into our givaway."

    Do lots of them and you will grow followers. Although you do need initial followers beforehand so it actually gains some traction on the twitter-verse.

    Twitter has been very useful for me. I use it for all of my websites and blogs and get good traffic from it. I will admit that you need to stay active on it to get the most out of it which I don't get the chance to do for all my sites due to lack of time.

    I also don't worry about sheer numbers of followers but good quality followers. Too many people have a huge number of followers but they are mostly fake, bots or junk followers which won't do much for you. Quality counts when it comes to followers! ;)

    For me, twitter is very much useful because I keep on doing SPM (Social Promotion Marketing ) over here. Infact, with the increase of followers and getting so many re-tweets you can achieve a good rank.
