1and1, name.com, godaddy are the few popular domain registrar.
many webhost do offer free domain registration if you order hosting services with them ;)

There are several good ones and it basically comes down to preference. I have been buying domain names since the 90's and my favorite is Namecheap. Namesilo, GoDaddy, Uniregistry are all good.

Stay away from 1 and 1, EIG owned companies and the no-name or unheard of registrars as you are risking a headache with them. Google them and find out.

    Good Luck. ;)

It's correct to stay away from EIG such as Hostgator...However I don't think 1and1 is bad and do we need to stay away too?

1 and 1 has caused a lot of people a lot of stress, problems and other issues including losing their domains. Do some Google searches for 1&1 and add any bad word like "scam".

    As an example search: https://www.google.com/search?espv=....0...1c.1.64.serp..0.4.244...0i30.XOf5C2KxCD4

I have been in the domain business since the 90's and 1&1 has more problems than any other registrar.

I am not saying that everyone is going to have problems because some people use them and have no issues, at least for quite a while. What I am saying is are you willing to gamble with your domain, money and sanity? I am not and they loose lots of customers because of the things they pull.

Just do some searches and you'll see that this is a big issue with them.

    Good Luck. ;)

GoDaddy is the cheapest domain name registrar to purchase your domains. You can register a single godaddy .com domain with coupon as cheap as $1.08 now.

I only use NameCheap for all my domain registration and SSL certificate purchases. They have a user-friendly interfaces, affordable pricing structure and excellent customer support. All of my issues have been solved via a quick live chat. They also offer 1 year hosting for under $10! (For the first year).

No, it is not the cheapest. It has the highest prices for privacy protection and its renewal prices are higher than Namecheap.

Once upon a time, my go to guy for domains was GoDaddy, but they're so expensive now. So i now prefer others like name.com

I use Godaddy and Namecheap for domain name registration. namecheap is less expensive than godaddy and their service is awesome. Customer support of namecheap is excellent. Where you need to wait for a long time for godaddy support. I recommend namecheap.

There’re many big guys in domain industry that you can rely on, however according to me, there’re 2 big guys that I usually use to invest a large number of domains on them. 2 of them are Godaddy and Namecheap.

With Godaddy, I usually get big discounts via email, the most percent discount I’ve got are 30% off and 25% off on new orders. More, they have a very professional and comfortable control panel that can help me much in domain management. Very easy to transfer or renew when I need to do. When my domains get expiring, I’ve always get notification by them, that’s very good.

With Namecheap, they have a very good and friendly support team that can help you almost instantly, I’ve contact them many times and each time was let me very happy and rate them 5 stars in supporting. Namecheap also give monthly coupons that can help you save 25% off on your hosting, VPS purchasing.

So I would like to recommend 2 domain registrars to you. I hope this helps.

    Good luck to you!
