I want a credit card

I want to have a credit card . A real credit card for to use at shopping and international usage

Any advice?

 

My advice, Don't use it like it's "free money" and make sure you pay off the balance every month or the interest is extortionate.

 

I can be able to manage my limits at internet. I want like this.

I am assuming that you have no credit history with loans or a bank. If you have a job with verifiable income, you can probably still get a "regular" credit card with a small line of credit. Best place to do this would be a bank in which you have a checking or savings account.

If you have none of these things, it might be best to start with a pre-paid credit card into which you deposit money that can then be spent using the card. Over time, this will build up your credit worthiness where you can then apply for a "regular" credit card.

 

When you say "international usage" do you mean you're going to travel and want to use it abroad? If that's the case, you'll have to call your future CC issuer and tell them that you're planning to travel abroad. Same is true if you want to increase your one time spending limit. Most CC may stop you from purchasing things from foreign sites. Not that long ago I wanted to buy something from China, my bank put a temporary block on my CC until I called them and confirmed it was I who used the CC. Look for a company / bank that will not apply any foreign transaction fees. Some of them do.

If you have a bad or no credit score Google something like: No credit score credit cards or Bad credit credit cards.

Call your bank, or go to your online bank and order one? How is this difficult?

 

A good way to establish credit is to take out a secured loan, for instance take $500 and put in a savings account then talk to a banker and tell you you want to take out a secured loan on your savings...Pay it off in a few months and don't miss a payment and more than likely your bank will send you applications for credit cards.

Stay away from credit cards. If you're using it online, just sign up for PayPal and get a PayPal Debit Card.

There's no point in a credit card if you don't even have the money to pay for stuff.

The PayPal debit card works exactly like a credit card. You can use it in shops and online. It's linked to your paypal acct (and bank if you want backup payments).

I don't see the point in getting a credit card if you have a paypal debit card.

The only reason to get a credit card is if you didn't have enough money in the first place -- which is a bad bad thing to do.

At least with the paypal debit card, if you have the money, your stuff is paid. No interest, no bills. Easy. And it works exactly like a credit card.

BUT if you want to get a credit card (for which reason I have no clue), then you can escape paying interest or beign charged anything by signing up for a cc that doesn't charge a monthly fee! Very important.

Then just pay your cc off before the billing cycle ends and you'll never have to pay interest at all!

But seriously just get a paypal debit card.

 

I disagree about not getting a credit card. You can accumulate money for what you spend if they have cashback rewards and pay them off before the end of the month and you have no interest. If you want to purchase a car or home and don't have any credit you have to establish it somehow.

 

A credit card can be smart, but that depends entirely on whether you need it or not. If you need it to be able to pay for stuff, then it's a bad idea. If you don't need it, it might be a good idea

 

You can only get a PayPal Debit Card if you're in the States.

Just put in some real cash into bank and do a fixed deposit of it. Based on that you will get a credit card upto the 90% of that amount. Now you do have a real credit card.

 

A virtual credit card where you can set the limits may be more useful for online transactions that people here do. For security reasons of course
