Tahmina and others have given you lots of great suggestions. So what will you do? Where do you start?

Here's a suggestion:

• Aim to build a 'business'
• It takes planning and focusing on what actually works best ... life is too short to try everything and anything and never know what is the bit gives you the best results
• So use a Google spreadsheet (it comes free with a gmail account) to build a table ... list all your traffic options in order of priority
• Install Open Web Analytics (free and better than Google Analytics)
  
• Try one or two of your preferred traffic methods ... watch the analytics and see which one is performing better and why
• Make some improvements to your process depending on what the analytics show you
• Again monitor the results.
  
• Keep the changes that improves results, discard changes that reduced results
• Document the process of getting traffic from that particular channel. Outsource or add that task to your daily or weekly schedule (frequency is not as important as being steady and regular, daily/weekly/monthly ... whatever suits you)
• Now try one new traffic channel and repeat the above, keep going
• Before you know it, the competition will be eating your dust ;-)
