I had a url and changed in 6 months ago. I took the old URL and parked it / redirected it to the new URL. When the new URL is googled, the old URL comes up. How do I eliminate this? I have re-indexed and only have the new URL on the Google search console. The website is SoulSpring.org. The old URL is womensemergence.com.
This is actually a good thing. URL age is part of rankings. That's why you see MOZ articles say that you should use 301 redirects instead of getting rid of old URLs. You should be happy, somewhat -- because it means Google has recognized your old URL and given it authority.
You should use the change of address tool on Google Search Console. Read this article: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/83106?hl=en
