Technical Writers - how are you publishing your work?

I've written help files for executable programs but I need to write a help file for an online system with online delivery and which will be able to have embedded videos.

Up to now I've just put it in a Google Doc but that can't handle the videos. I could just do a series of web pages but I was wondering what real technical writers are doing these days?

Thanks, can you explain the google drive bit. I've currently got the videos on YouTube and the text in a google drive doc. I can link to the YouTube video but I need it embedded.

you can use Google Drive as a backup for any files. Sometimes i use Google drive as CDN,
to reduce load on my hosting since Google have best network all over the planet.

    here is the step:
    1. Login to your Google Drive Account and Upload your videos
    2. After the videos uploaded, checklist the Video and Click icon User+Share located above the list
    3. Click the video link on the overlay and Click Google Drive Viewer
    4. On the Google Doc choose menu File and Choose Embed This Video
    5. Copy all the codes and put on any page.
Hope that answer your question mod, CMIIW

Hmm, finally got back to doing this after working on the videos and it turns out it's not possible
    https://productforums.google.com/fo...ontext-place=topicsearchin/docs/embed$20video

    Only available for presentations.
Ignores the needs to technical writers creating manuals that will be viewed online.
"Slides" isn't appropriate for that kind of content

I've just been looking at RoboHelp and HelpandManual which both look great. My client is happy to pay for the work tools I need but their prices are beyond what a non-profit should be shelling out.

I think I'll go for the thumbnail and link approach
