    more - haha...

But hell, I am just getting out of the starting gate right now....
If I keep adding sites, then the vps maybe outdated by next year :)
(the vps I am not on yet)

Since EIG took over I have seen tons of bad reviews, it is possible EIG have changed the restrictions for CPU, IO etc and may be putting more on each server, who knows, but it was not like that back in the day.

Sad to hear another bad review

In all truth, I need to be on a VPS anyway....
But the way HG has gone about this sucks donkey tail....
HG has been on slow response time since I have had them, and
since I am on ignore mode, I am surely not going to use their VPS.

I am also starting to setup my sites on cloud, so if hosting is
interrupted then cloud will continue to run the sites in cache
until hosting is restored at some point, may also consider CDN in the future.

I engaged Hostgator 3 years ago an I don't found any problem with them.
And any technical issues solving with customer service online.

If you are looking for a quality host that does not have
to deal with 100k+ customers, then dont go with hostgator...

I would never go with hostgator under any circumstances.

I think the reason why HostGator became worse is the number of clients. Thay don't have to do anything to involve new client because they've built the strong brand.
The quality became worse as well as support and although they still are one of the biggest and most famous hosting services they're loosing their ground.

I stopped on not so big scale company but I've never faced any problems with it so far. Great support especially after moving from HostGator it's just perfect.

Been restricted by hostgator before, but after contacting the live support they advice me to clean up some space, they advertise the site as being unlimited, but as a shared host you should understand that if you have so much DB and domains you will clog other clients sites.
They are not wrong, and you are not wrong because client is always right, but the point here if you are going to host that many websites get a VPS or upgrade your plan, I have had good experience with Globat and hostmonster for shared hosting if you insist.
