Can event pages "steal" impressions from main pages?

If an already established Facebook page for an organization creates a separate event page, will the event page “steal” impressions from the organization’s main page? For example, each time that you post to the event page’s wall, will it surface on the main newsfeed? And if this were happening, would the fact that 5,000+ people (the people who have liked the main page but not the event page) are seeing the event page’s posts negatively impact the main organization’s posts? I didn’t think that if an organization created a separate event page through their main account, that some people who had liked the main page (but not the event page) would be seeing the posts from the event page, but I’ve been told that this is happening. People are concerned that the event page is taking views/engagement away from the main page. Also, would someone be able to determine this within only about a month and a half? Does anyone know if this is possible?

I don't know, why they would create another page for the event? Why it's needed for them to create a separate account in the first place. Why don't the just post their event in their main page?

The best idea would be to create a separate events page and mention clearly in the about section, the name of the root company and the main page, so that people even if they reach your page automatically without showing any interest will understand easily which is which. Mentioning the main company in a visual tagline, like XXX3 A Sequel of XXX will help people understand quicker. In short, you have to be proactive in generating likes for both the pages simultaneously by posting great and engaging content on both pages.
