    Hi,

I built a website on html for my brother's firm few months back. I am planning to convert the website onto some user friendly platform like joomla, drupal or wordpress.

But I don't know which option is best for such a website.

His firm provides services like office maintenance, facility management, furniture refurbishing etc. Plz tell me if Joomla would be suitable for sucha website. I 've only used wordpress and don't know much about Joomla or Drupal. plz help me out here

Wordpress is primary a blogging plateform. Rest all depends on the needs (features) u required. Modx can be a good choice as well.

Joomla only. Visit http://extensions.joomla.org and select all required extensions.
You can build your website with joomla easy, quick and free. Also you can purchase hi-quality paid extensions.

Go with Drupal if the budget is limited and require Open Source platform and there are many theme customization options available for Drupal and Free Extensions while Joomla is steeply expensive with paid plugins and don't look to Wordpress as its for blogging and will not make your website look like a Furniture store or services but a review of these, hence Drupal is the best setup for you.... Also check out demo of websites made on there official websites.

I'm agree with @jazzyjmnote , Customization in Joomla might be expensive in compare to Wordpress or drupal. So Joomla is not right option if you will try any free theme for your site. WP gives more choices for it.

It really depends on what kind of functionalities are you looking to have on the website. If it will be mostly for blogging, then yes, Wordpress is the most popular choice.
You mentioned your brother is in the Facility Management business, so I'm guessing he needs to attract more customers, offer them payment plans in exchange for services etc. Based on this, you'll be heading in the eCommerce direction and for that I suggest Joomla!.
On the official extension directory on their main forum you will find lots of components, both free and paid ones to make your job easier implementing the payment methods, shopping cart (if needed) and so on.
Good luck and perhaps you will give us a link when you've made up your mind :)

    Total and utter NONSENSE.

    1) If they were the best, everyone would use them and there would be no other choices.
    2) Some websites CANNOT be made using Joomblah or Turdpress, unless you have THOUSANDS of years to waste.

WordPress – Best pick for beginners, works well for small to medium sized websites, blog and stores
Joomla – Great for e-commerce type of sites, but require at least some level of technical coding.
Drupal – The most difficult one, but also the most powerful CMS.

Here is a good article, I wouldn't recommend Drupal if you aren't very tech savvy, stick with Joomla or Wordpress:
