Page ranking is no longer in use. you have to increase domain authority of your website to make your webpage come to 1,2 or 3 page.

You are absolutely right, any blog post that you create, make it link with one or more of your blog posts in the same domain site.
Note : do not over do it, that would be bad practice . If you have post of about 300-500 page 2-3 internal linking would be great .

 

I seen a site with 10k word articles, and his internal linking is insane...
If you write about cars, link to car parts that link to how car parts
are made, that link to how-to articles, and so forth....

and if you expect to produce such a site, then expect to work 80hrs/week
for the next 5 years, and you still would not catch up to this dude...
