    Hello there,

    in my experience, iThemes Security Plugin is the best one.. complete and have a lot of features.. you can even hide the wp-admin...etc

    As my experience Wordfence in best security plugin i have seen.
    I m personally use Wordfence free version last 5 year and get many scam alert, security checks and much more.
    No more scam activity after install Wordfence

    I've been using the Wordfence plugin(free version) for several years across all our WP sites and it has saved me lots of hassles particularly in isolating spam attacks and stopping illegal logins.

    I used the Wordfence free plugin as well and liked it so much that I ended up buying it a few months back. I can't recommend it enough (both the free and paid if your budget allows for it)

    +1 for Wordfence

    Some people prefer Better WP Security so worth checking that one out as well but I think Wordfence is slightly a more popular one.

    Wordfence is the best free one that i have come across. I set it so anyone who puts an inocrrect pass gets ip blocked.

    First of all I would say you must secure website manually by following Presentation of WordPress Security Expert "Dre Armeda".

    Then you can use a plugin, I've used "WordFence" personally. It works very well.

    Didn't use it, but its stats says it is up trending.
