    In my case:
    my first focus on the very good unique and easy to understand content
    website structure should be quite easy for users
    when getting backlinks all the time act like many people giving these links as everyone has different ways and pattern. but one a person working they usually follow a pattern.
    use social media, FB, Twitter, linkedin, google plus and share regularly on that sites.
    website should have social plugins so user can easily share content.

    My strategy is little bit different, I'm doing all this which is need to in SEO but for getting quick ranking I'm doing PPC to on my SEO targeted keywords and you wont believe my SEO success ratio is 80 to 90% on competitive keywords.
