    Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has hired an outsourcer or VA to handle business leads...I am looking for a reputable one. that isn't going to screw up my accounts or services like the last one did on fiverr. I lost about $1000 just from that alone. any advice would be awesome because they were entering as many emails as they could using fake info.

It probably comes down to how much you pay. If you get one who is educated and experienced they'll understand your business model and objectives and work with you to succeed. If they see it as a short term gig with little chance of a repeat they'll do just enough to look good.

You can hire them from upwork or freelancer. Almost all VAs use these websites to acquire projects/assignments. Check for reviews as well the comments from other clients while hiring. In upwork there is an additional parameter of recommendation that is hidden on provider's profile but clients can see that. Its a recommendation assigned to the freelancer by the client. A seemingly great freelancer might have a very low recommendation percentage and ideally you should avoid hiring him/her or if you want to try the services then start with a test project.

Well Fiver is not the right place my dear, Odesk (Upworks) and freelancers are alright. Read the reviews and the work they have done before. It is not easy to trust 100% and it comes down to the type of work and trial and error. Good luck.

Honestly, I don't like Fiverr. How can you expect high quality service with $5?
If you are still looking for someone, I can help you to get one. You may also take a look on Upwork too.

Our specialty is lead generation (clarkoutsourcing LLC) and we're actually looking for some VA clients. We're very reputable (running 150 seats at the moment). Feel free to send me a message on skype if you'd like to chat! Kurt.M.Allen. Take care.

Wait a minute... You actually went on Fiverr (a web site that offers services for 5 fucking dollars) and TRUSTED a person to do quality work on your business leads and accounts for your legitimate profitable business??????????????????????????????????? Hold on... I'm still trying to process this. The person you "acquired" for five fucking dollars caused you to lose a thousand dollars but if all went well that five dollar employee could have made you thousands of dollars???????? Whatever you are smoking please pass it to me because I want some. You deserved the burn for being cheap and treating your business like a red headed step child.

Now that you are PASSED the lesson learned stage...I couldn't help but notice you actually included Craigslist in your survey lol... Do not care about your business??? Hire VA's to do stupid redundant bullshit that you don't have time for. Hire professionals to handle your business accounts if their performance dictates how much you will make or lose. And please drill it in to your head that quality work is done by quality people and quality people know how much they are worth. Top notch workers require top notch pay. Piece of shit workers or people with no skill will do whatever you say for $5.........or at least tell you they will.

Upwork is a great platform to hire some quality freelancers and VA. I personally use it and found it very prominent.

I always recommend Upwork, because the contractors usually have no problem doing a paid trial run. This way, you don't pay them up front, and you see what they can do immediately.

What exactly are you looking for in a VA? Are you looking for them to do direct sales, or research leads?

I will go with Upwork to (almost typed Odesk there... :))

With Upwork you can follow the work done by freelancers with nice screenshots, if you're paying by the hour.

    Good luck!

This is a good tip! There are pros/cons to doing fixed-priced jobs and hourly, but that is definitely a pro for that side. The downside is, they can still move 100 times slower, and can change you for hours of work that could have normally taken 10 minutes.

I do fixed jobs because it's one price, no matter how long it takes. They cant claim they worked 10 hours, and force you to pay up.
