    For generating traffic on a website, how important is it to create a good quality content?
    Generally people dont emphasize on content building but then too their Traffic on the website is considerably good...

    Content with only keywords doesn't matter nowadays. content should be in proper format like with proper sub headings and bullet points. Also it should be useful for users.

    Content is everything. But you must write for your visitors, not the search engine. Imagine the ideal visitor to your site and write for them. Keep producing content like that and the visitors will come and eventually it'll snowball.

    If your content is good then it will get shared through social mediums giving you traffic to your site thus giving you somewhat of a viral effect..

    It all depends on what you want that traffic to do.
    • Generate impressions to keep an advertiser happy? Content can be crap just so long as Google still puts you high in the SERPs and the listing looks promising
    • Click on ads? Content can be crap just so long as Google still puts you high in the SERPs and the listing looks promising. In fact, the more disappointed the user is the more likely they are to click an ad to get somewhere better
    • Buy product? your content better be top notch
    • Become a return visitor? you content better be top notch

When the user type any keyword which is already mentioned in your website (meta keywords), if you have used that keyword in your content that page of the website will be displayed on the result pages of search engines (SERP).. Therefore content must be relevant to your theme/topic..
