    Hello,

    3 different topics i have posted in the boards that i thought were most suited BUT the moderators seem to disagree.

    Now insted of sending a nice PM saying that its in the wrong area, then moving it.

    They just give me a Infraction.

    Why do they do that ?
    Why cant they pm me and just move the thread?

    Luke, Mods do not have the time to personally hand hold all the members. Warnings and infractions give a way of pointing out problems in a subtle way. I do not think I have seen anyone banned for continually starting threads in the wrong category.

    A good practice is to always read the descriptions found www.forums.digitalpoint.com before posting. If after reading you are still not clear, take a little time to look at other posts in the particular forum of interest or run a search for similar thread to the one you anticipate posting and seeing where these threads are placed.

    With time you will be the one reporting a thread started in the wrong category.

    Yes, but wouldnt it be easyer just to click on the thread and click move & then click on the board it should be in?

    Mods arent getting paid for moderation here nor you are paying to post here...So infractions are warnings..Best option is never do that mistake again :)

    When i was new member here i've got alot of infractions...But i never posted like this anyway all of my infractions are expired long time ago :p and now no infraction :D

    i guess both mods and members are humans and we don't agree with everything that is done - vice versa...

    but take note of 2 things:
    1. they have been assigned the task to try to keep this place as decent as possible - so you just have to go with them
    2. when you go to a house, you don't insult the host when they decide on something. you don't like it, you leave... ;)
