Contest 7 day contest - Logo for Turkish restaurant - 3 prizes - First prize $50 AUD - Instant Paypal.

Hello DPers, here's another contest I'd like you to sink your pens into, this one is an original logo / branding concept / design for a Turkish food restaurant.

I'm looking for a classy and stylish vector logo to suit their large outdoor signage / web site / menus / stationery / T-shirts etc.

The business name is:
O y a's - Turkish - K i t c h e n (spaced to avoid search engines)
Cafe & Restaurant

Client's input:
Font: Arabic or fancy font
Colours: Green, red, black and white
Ideas: Possibly a chef’s hat, flower, Turkish Symbolic icon like a mosque or church...?

Rules:
All entries must be submitted in thread. I will check in daily and provide my feedback on each entry and provide client feedback when I can.

Time: I think 7 days should cover it. I will extend if necessary or cut short if a grand-prize worthy entry is selected earlier.

Prize money: $AUD
$50 grand prize.
plus
2 runner up prizes of $15 each
That's 3 prizes all up!

Disclaimer: I've run many contests here and have complete faith that at least one entrant here will present something exceptional but I have promised this client there's no charge if we can't come up with something they absolutely love so I do reserve the right not to choose a winner if my client doesn't like anything presented. I offering a higher prize money than usual here in order to get a more professional design. They are a trustworthy long-term client of mine that will pick a worthy winner for sure.

Assuming we do get a winning design, once payment has been made my client will be handed all the files and rights to use the winning logo. The winning entrant may also use it in their portfolio.

I do like 'clever' and this will be taken into account when I choose the runner up prizes as well. The client will be choosing the winning design.

katesrobyn - thanks for entering your nice design, similar to Kic3's entry but enough difference to say it's unique. I an unsure of Turkish icons and am wondering what the background is representing?

3SS - a simple design, not a lot of uniqueness it appears, however the client might like simple. I probably would have put O y a ' s in the top dome area as the words apear small compared to the image as a whole, and the name is probably the most important bit. I like your second design more but again the tiny words makes the name seem less important. My feedback only. Thanks for giving it a go.

ALL - Contest is still wide open and the earlier you enter the more time the client will have to consider your design.

Let your creativity flow. You can do this. Think kebabs, pide, falafel, breads, soups & dips, salads, tomato, onion, turkish delight, baklava, great restaurant atmosphere, utensils etc.

katesrobyn - thanks for the updates. I think I like your last entry best, the white one. Not sure on the utensils there though, they do look too clip-arty.

Razel007 - Looks a little too clip-arty for me and I don't like the font. However the client might see something in it that I don't. Thanks for submitting something different.

cosmin90 - thanks for submitting. Hat there is clever. I wonder what it would look like withaout the utensils and if the hat was tilted on the left side? Red hat/green/red words one.

MrRooT - nice entries there. I like #1 best. #2, I can't read the green on red. Thanks for submitting your entries.

ALL - feedback from business partner is he'd like to see some rectangle entries rather than round.
