In my opinion this is true. However, I see all my mistakes (not just my last) as a collective of 'my best teachers'.

Its thrown around all the time that if you don't fail - how will you learn or know any better? Even at school you would spell a word wrong (mistake) and then learn how to spell it right. Without mistakes there would be no growth.

that is very true. humans learn best after experiencing the failure. I will agree that my last mistake was my best teacher but unfortunately I dont like that teacher. He is so mean and unforgiving ironically he is the best but i dont look forward to meeting him soon.

Yes, but whether you remember the lesson depends on how badly that mistake hurt you.

I believe only members have the ability to "like" a post. Correct me if i'm wrong. In regards to the topic yes it can be your greatest teacher depending on what the mistake was and if you're willing to learn from it.

Thank you IoZoom, yeah, need to learn on all mistakes. Making a mistake means you've acted upon, at least you've acted than no action at all but don't do the same mistake twice, it's stupidity. Most of the times, we do things we think was perfect. However, we don't know if it's true or not.

I agree completely but only as long as each mistake is made only once repeating it is not smart and means you didn't learn from your teacher.

That was correct Wendy. It's idiocracy when you did it more than one (mistakes). And that's the hard thing when someone don't know they're an idiot.

I kind of agree. It all depends on a person's age and overall life experiences. For instance, when I was younger I kept dating girls that were bad for me. It took me 3-4 tries before I realized what I really wanted in my future spouse. Another example, when I first started in online marketing I made pretty horrible mistakes spending thousands on paid advertising with a very low ROI. Despite that fact, I still kept wasting money until it clicked that not all paid advertising worked.

As I am typing this I am thinking that there is probably not a single person out there who didn't make the same mistake at least twice. It's really a blessing if someone can learn their lesson by screwing up only once.
