    Hi,

2 months ago, Ive asked on this forum about creating news website and I didnt take good feedbacks. So Ive changed my mind to doing what I mostly understand; game tips, fixes, tutorials, course videos creating and selling.
Text contents and videos arent found in any other places. So its a unique.

The Main Question is: Coursework, Tutorial Video Locking/Selling is a Good Business?

So, about this type of membership model; Ive locked some text contents and video tutorials, courseworks etc. on this section articles:http://newslopedy.com/guides/

    Example Locked Content: http://newslopedy.com/games/how-to-run-sword-coast-legends-game-faster-and-lower-your-gpu-usage/
(Videos and some text contents are locked out and can only be accessed by premium members)
    Premium Membership Page:
    http://newslopedy.com/premium-membership/

I even uploaded some of my tutorial videos on youtube and I get positive feedbacks.
So is it a good and potential business model?
Can I sell memberships by this method?

What do you think about it?
    -Please give me your feedbacks...

I think one of the bad thing is the domain name. So it must be changed to game related.

I don't know.... I think with lots of news websites being free with the few selection being memberships, you'd be better off not locking content. Try to aim for setting stuff like early access to upcoming articles, maybe a special forum status, or weekly free reports on new tutorials and such. Also you can create an email list and then offer the subscription through there.

    I second hogeyman's opinion above.

Subscription model is the one you should be looking at. And do not forget the potential of creating YouTube videos and driving traffic to them and as well as your site.

Subscription model can be used to sell affiliate products/manuals/walk-throughs/mods/maps,etc.,.

I agree what you have said regarding the domain name. Try to get a catchy one using domainr.com(not my site)
