Issue with vps and hostname

    hello all

    i did buy a vps and i did install cpanel on it

    then i did register and add a record for name server

    i also create a account for the domain

    the issue is
    i can open site using

    ns1.xxxxxxxxx.com its show cpanel default page
    and
    ns2.xxxxxxxxx.com show cpanel default page

    and
    the host name
    ser.xxxxxxxxx.com open and show the cpanel default page

    the issue that i cant open the site xxxxxxxxx.com its keep loading and never open

    i try to check from proxy same issue

    can any one explain why
    do i need to add a record for domain xxxxxxxxx.com
    and for www.xxxxxxxxx.com ?

    Hello,

    Here is the catch.

    host name ser.xxxxxxxxx.com is not supposed to be visited directly. To visit WHM or cPanel you will need the following.

    ser.xxxxxxxxx.com:2087
    ser.xxxxxxxxx.com:2083

    However, if you wish to see any contents via ser.xxxxxxxxx.com make sure you put the contents in

    /usr/local/apache/htdocs/

    Also you will have to assign a A record to the hostname.
    WHM >> Search hostname >> Change >> Add A records.





    Now we come to nameserver IP address
    WHM >> Search basic Config > Go to bottom >> NS section >> Add the two NS >> Assign IP address >> Save


    Now try loading the domain it will load. :)
