You may take my tip with a pinch of salt, I've only been into this business for under a month so my success may be purely down to luck. Interpet the tip however you like, it is vague for a reason.

HARNESS THE POWER OF THE DISCUSSION FORUM!

You mean putting a forum on your site? Everyone I've talked to has said how poorly forums create revenue.

focus on creating 1 big site...targetting one big niche with millions of searches...and it will pay for decades because the market will never go away, there wil always be a way to monetize it.

be the king of your market..thats my best advice..making too many spam sites or targetting many small niches isnt a good way to go. Ive done all sorts of things on the internet , ive been living on the PC for over 2 years and after all ive been through i can tell you, 1 big site is all you need to make 10 K a day. And yes its so damn possible.

By a " big site " , i mean a really really good one , something that people would want to visit everyday, something that would make a difference in the world ..A website that people would be loyal to . A website that would become a part of many people's lives . Not a spam website with stolen content from here and there.

I was vague for a reason, it's up to you how you interpret my advice. I will however say that using a forum to generate revenue is not the way to go.

Yes, but it depends. Many sites ( like digg ) dont have " original content " but isntead user generated content , but they do have an original idea , which makes digg so famous and worth so many $ at the same time.

After all what ive seen, i can tell you a site with an original idea that can make a difference in the world is what comes on the top on the long run and can make crazy adsense money and then gets sold for millions or billions of dollars :D

Everyone read about myspace being sold for $ 700 M , and youtube for $ 1.6 BILLION. Youtube is only 10 months old, why does it have crazy traffic and crazy adsense revenue ? Of course its because it introduced a very original idea ( video sharing in a very nice and simple interface ) and they knew that users will stay hours and hours on their website to watch videos and they will come back everyday. I think the youtube guys were making like 30 K / day from adsense.

I don't have an incredibly original idea, I am simply offering some advice. I am being vague because there are a number of ways in which you can interpret my advice, this is more than just a specific tip. Sure, I can go ahead and spoon feed everyone but I'd prefer my comment got people thinking. That's the purpose of my post.

    That's all :)

instead of subdomains, you can get a multiple web based hosting package and just for a domain price , start as much websites as you can with some content, because more websites=more earning

    but "content is the King",
