    I only fire up Skype when I need to use it for a conference call, so I would not have even known about the outage other than your post. Obviously, not a big deal for me and there are other free services that can be used, anyway, if Skype is down.

    A year or two ago, I would have as many as ten conference calls per week using Skype because I was involved with a U.K. company and we were doing online presentations to customers. These days, I may do a Skype call once or twice a month.

    Thanks for the tip about the web version working! I will keep that in mind for the future.

    I rarely use skype now a days. Internally our team communicate through slack and in the event of voice chat we use cisco's voip cti and theyboth work great. Skype I feel only works now a days to speak to friends and family across the world. Not many businesses rely on it anymore

    I mostly depends on skype. Because i think skype is mostly helpful for personal and business conversation.

    My random chats are usually Middle Eastern men who assume all Western women are Skype porn stars - and free ones, at that.

    Apparently you missed the international outage that lasted most of Monday.

    Can that happen, if you don't accept any file transfers from people?

    I cannot say for sure, but I recall hearing once that it can happen without receiving a file transfer. I could be mistaken, however.

    They're sometimes dp users with a problem, just not always. What's funny is when they don't realise I'm a woman and ask me if I like good girls or naughty girls. Talk about working from a script!

    Yesterday all around the world have the problem with there Skype account. Skype has the issues. Today all problem is fixed and Skype correctly running :)
