Why use Google when Startpage is so much better?

Google tracks everything you do. They offer it up at the drop of a hat to any government that asks, and they don't really care about your privacy.

People share all of the problems and concerns with Google search, and google stores all of it to your profile. Then Advertisers use this info to target you.

I use Startpage.com instead because it directly uses all of google's search functions without storing any of my personal info. We get the benefits of the #1 search engine without all of the crap associated with it. It's a win/win for me. Plus it links directly into the browser.

Here is how Startpage.com protects your privacy:

    And no...of course I don't work for them...lmao

What have you got to hide?

Haha! That's what everyone says. Right up until the point where they just realized that it is not about what you have to hide, but rather why you should protect your privacy and freedom. Once it is all gone, there is no going back. Hindsight is 20/20. And nothing...A better question, however, is "why do they need to store everything and share it with everyone?"

If I'd want to protect my privacy, I think I'd stick to DuckDuckGo.
